New arrival is doing swimmingly

A female dolphin calf has been born at Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida. The calf, which has yet to be named, weighs more than 24 kilograms and is nursing as well as bonding well with her mother, Rose. This is Rose’s second birth and the 27th dolphin to be born at Discovery Cove since the park opened in 2000.

Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort experience in Florida where guests enjoy a one-of-a-kind opportunity to swim with dolphins, snorkel with rays and tropical fish, hand-feed exotic birds and relax on pristine beaches.
