I knew when we booked a holiday to Florida it would be a busy holiday. Some even said we'd need a holiday to get over our holiday! We spent 3 magical weeks in Florida, and halfway through my husband celebrated his 40th birthday. We wanted something extra special to mark the occasion so we booked the Elite package in Discovery Cove. This was literally my most favourite day of my holiday!
We arrived early to a lovely breakfast and were then was escorted to our cabana which was fantastic. It had plenty of shade from the May heat and was close to Serenity Bay. It was stocked with plenty of refreshments and snacks, along with plenty of seating and towels. While we didn't spend all of our day in our cabana it was still lovely having a base to go back to with a little privacy. We also had a brilliant host who was checked on us a lot throughout the day going above and beyond to make us feel special.
All of us experienced our dream of meeting and swimming with the dolphins. As part of the Elite package, Rose (a beautiful dolphin) swam up and gave my husband a bouy wishing him Happy Birthday! It was a memory which will stay with us forever. We were then greeted from the dolphin lagoon by our hostess, with towels for us to go and select our photo package. The photos were then later picked up by her and delivered directly to our cabana.
We found everything flowed nicely throughout the day. Food, drink and snacks were provided - all free and tasty. There was plenty of suncream dotted around the park and even had showers with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for the end of the day.
Relaxing at Discovery Cove was like relaxing on a paradise island and I will 100% be back in the not too distant future, and will also again book the elite package as I believe this was great value for money, and added and extra special touch to our day.
